Entrepreneurs: Listen To Your Intuition!

“Intuition does not come to an unprepared mind.” Albert Einstein

This is a hard time for business owners and I don’t have the answers. No one has the answers because we’ve never been in this situation before. And even if someone claims to have the answers, there are always different solutions and paths for different people.

This is a philosophy that I’ve embraced throughout my business. There is no one size fits all or exact formula for success. Every business owner deserves a tailored approach to marketing that works for them. That is why this moment feels like the perfect time to share my thoughts about how to use your intuition in your business.

Access your own intuition

I thought about writing about this last month but my intuition guided me to a different topic. How’s that for a meta example?

And in light of what is happening now, it seems like the perfect time to discuss your intuition. Because there is actually one person who does know what to do next in your business, and it’s you. You may not feel like you know what to do because everything is so chaotic. But if you are quiet, and listen, you can access your own intuition.

“Follow your instincts. That’s where true wisdom manifests itself.” Oprah Winfrey

This may work for you by meditating or taking a walk in the woods. Giving yourself some space can also help, find out more about this in my post, The Argument for More Space Instead of More Goals. The more attention and energy you give to nurturing this ability, the more you will sharpen it.

If the word intuition is too airy-fairy for you, try on the word instinct.

You are your best ally

The point is to ignore what other business owners are doing and do what is right for you during this time. So, if you need to go inward and take some time off, go ahead. If you’re feeling motivated to create something brand new, then follow that whisper. Or maybe you see a way to shift your business so that you can continue to serve your clients in spite of the current situation. The great news is that you get to choose and you are your best ally in making these choices.

Mindfulness

When you’re ready to focus on your marketing, you may find it helpful to approach it with mindfulness. I wrote a post about this very topic, check it out here. No matter what, be gentle with yourself and take good care of you. Because without a solid you, there is no business. And keep in mind that your productivity may vary from day to day and week to week. That is completely normal. You can only ever do your best in whatever moment you are in.

We’re in this together and we’ll get through it together, don’t be afraid to ask for help.

How do you use your intuition in your business or daily life? Let us know in the comments.
