A video of two drunken female expats in a Torrevieja hospital’s emergency room has gone viral on social media.
An unexpected downside to a night on the tiles was the result when two expat females were videoed at a local Torrevieja hospital after one had fallen and hurt her head. Apparently, neither were aware they were being videoed until they woke up and realised their drunken revels had gone viral on social media. One doctor at the hospital’s emergency room made their situation even worse when he was heard to say that treating drunken Brits was all part of the job and wasn’t in any way extraordinary.
When the pair arrived at the hospital’s ER, one began dancing with a nurse, saying she was celebrating her divorce, whilst the other kept telling a male nurse he was beautiful. Fortunately, they both passed out shortly after that, spurring social media comments that a ‘really good hangover’ was their fate. Other social media fans weren’t as kind, with one stating the girls’ behaviour was shameful and another Spanish commentator complaining about expats who abuse the Spanish healthcare system by getting tanked up with alcohol.
A number of posters supported the two women, with one saying it’s not nice to laugh at them just because they were drunk, especially as they were older women rather than just kids. Another said everyone had been laughing at the video, adding the pair were good people who just wanted to enjoy themselves by having quite a few too many celebratory drinks. One politically aware commentator assumed the pair had voted for Brexit and were getting their just desserts by getting drunk, falling down and becoming an online laughing stock.
